Celebrities Who Treat Their Fans Like Trash – The Mean Stars Site

In my opinion, it’s always so disappointing to find out that a celebrity you’ve seen in concert, or on a TV show, or in a movie or where ever else, turns out to be a pervert, jerk, snob, or weirdo in real life, especially when their screen or stage persona seems so friendly and kind – such as Bill Cosby or Chris O’Dowd (as of 2017, O’Dowd is arguably best known for playing the nice cop character, Rhodes, in the movie “Bridesmaids“).

I found out about the “Mean Stars” site through an article called “Celebrities who treat their fans like trash”

First, here is a link to the Mean Stars site:

Celebrities who treat their fans like trash -by Nicki Swift

Excerpts:

When you’re rich and famous, it’s not hard to lose sight of the little people. While it can’t be easy to be the center of attention, celebrities have the choice to either be cool about their fans’ overzealous adulation or to be a total celebri-jerk about it. Here are some stars who, allegedly, have done some pretty terrible things to us pathetic, regular people.

Rihanna

Rihanna is a rude girl, at least to some fans. “My coworker won free tickets and backstage passes to see Rihanna about a year after they were first playing ‘Umbrella’ on the radio,” a former fan told Thought Catalog.

“When her kids finally got the chance to go meet Rihanna, she was sitting at her makeup booth and refused to face them, or even look at them. When they asked for her autograph, she told the closest backup dancer to forge it for them and shooed them away.”

Celebrities Continue With Their Obnoxious Public Political Activism and Trump Derangement Syndrome: February 2017 Edition

In the last two months, celebrities have continued to spew their political views in public – some at rallies, others during awards shows, and they are usually pretty rude, condescending, or obnoxious in the process.

They have yet to learn that most of the nation are not interested in hearing their political views – we just want to watch them act on a screen or sing a song.

Most of these celebrities continue to have a case of Sour Grapes over Donald Trump winning the 2016 presidential election, and I’ve grown tired of their whiny, cry-baby rants. (I myself am neither fully for or against Trump.)

Here is the latest round-up of news stories of celebrities who have been pitching fits about Trump (or Republicans or conservative policies) the last few months (there are so many of these types of stories, it’s hard for me to keep up):

Oscar-nominated foreign filmmakers speak out against ‘climate of fanaticism’ by Oliver Gettell, February 24, 2017

Excerpt (followed by comments by me below):

The six directors behind this year’s Oscar contenders for best foreign-language film have released a joint statement denouncing a “climate of fanaticism and nationalism” in the U.S. and around the world, while calling for unity and freedom of expression.

“The fear generated by dividing us into genders, colors, religions, and sexualities as a means to justify violence destroys the things that we depend on — not only as artists but as humans: the diversity of cultures, the chance to be enriched by something seemingly ‘foreign’ and the belief that human encounters can change us for the better,” the statement says. “These divisive walls prevent people from experiencing something simple but fundamental: from discovering that we are all not so different.”

Signed by Asghar Farhadi (The Salesman), Maren Ade (Toni Erdmann), Martin Zandvliet (Land of Mine), Hannes Holm (A Man Called Ove), and Bentley Dean and Martin Butler (Tanna), the statement asserts, “We want this award to stand as a symbol of the unity between nations and the freedom of the arts.”

The foreign-language Oscar has taken on an increased political dimension this year in response to President Trump’s hard-line stance on immigration and “America first” approach to foreign policy.

My comments:

Do you know who divides people into groups, based on gender, sexuality, colors, etc? That would be LIBERALS. Not right wingers, not conservatives, not Republicans, not even Trump.

Yes, left wingers and most Democrats are into something called “identity politics,” where they insist we all note the skin color, religion, sexual preferences, genders, and so on, of everyone.
