Sexual Harassment, Abuse in Hollywood – the Ever Growing List
I first started out doing blog posts about the sexual harassment by those in the entertainment business regarding Harvey Weinstein and actor Ben Affleck, and how some male celebrities say they too have been sexually abused in work-related incidents.
But every time I visit my “Buttered Popcorn” twitter account this past few weeks, I keep seeing new allegations against other people who work in the entertainment business, whether actors, producers, directors, or whomever else.
It’s frightening and terrible to see how common-place this workplace sexual harassment is.
I have attempted to put these in alphabetical order by last name; here is a list of links about most of the stories I’ve seen the last few weeks of other celebrities being accused of sexual abuse or harassment (this is by no means an exhaustive list; I have so many of these headlines bookmarked, I will likely overlook a few):
In Alphabetical Order, by Last Name
Aziz Ansari (actor)
Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari has been accused by a New York–based photographer of sexual misconduct during a date. Speaking anonymously with Babe, the 23-year-old woman claims she met Ansari at an Emmys after-party in L.A. last fall. They exchanged numbers, which led to a date in Manhattan about a week later. The woman said the date began normally, with dinner at an outdoor oyster bar, but when they went to Ansari’s apartment afterward, things quickly escalated to a point of discomfort.
Louis C.K. (comic, tv actor)
In 2003, Abby Schachner called Louis C.K. to invite him to one of her shows, and during the phone conversation, she said, she could hear him masturbating as they spoke. Another comedian, Rebecca Corry, said that while she was appearing with Louis C.K. on a television pilot in 2005, he asked if he could masturbate in front of her. She declined.
Now, after years of unsubstantiated rumors about Louis C.K. masturbating in front of associates, women are coming forward to describe what they experienced. Even amid the current burst of sexual misconduct accusations against powerful men, the stories about Louis C.K. stand out because he has so few equals in comedy.
Updates, August 2018:
Maureen Ryan: Once the industry has stopped enabling toxicity and begun prioritizing the needs of survivors, we can talk about paths to rehabilitation for abusers. Hard pass on Louis C.K. though: He used his comeback to do more damage.
Gérard Depardieu (actor)
By RACHEL DESANTIS
French actor Gérard Depardieu is reportedly under investigation for rape and sexual assault in Paris.
French newspaper Le Parisien reports a 22-year-old French actress and dancer filed a criminal complaint Monday accusing the star of sexually assaulting her Aug. 7 and Aug. 13 at his home in the 6th arrondissement of the French capital.
Depardieu, 69, “absolutely denies” all allegations, his lawyer told the AFP news agency.
The “Cyrano de Bergerac” star had reportedly taken the woman, who studied at the private Paris drama school Cours Florent, under his wing, and was offering career advice when the alleged assaults happened.
Andy Dick (actor)
October 31, 2017
Andy Dick has been dropped from the independent feature film Raising Buchanan following accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct on set.
… two sources detailed Dick’s inappropriate behavior, which included groping people’s genitals, unwanted kissing/licking and sexual propositions of at least four members of the production. It’s unclear if those involved were actors or crew.
Actor Andy Dick has been fired from a film after allegations surfaced that he groped colleagues on set. While Dick has denied the groping he is admitting to inappropriate behavior such as ‘licking’ people.
…The alleged victims have not yet come forward, but sources detailing Dick’s behavior to the Hollywood Reporter claim his behavior included groping people’s genitals, unwanted kissing/licking and sexual propositions of at least four members of the production. It’s unclear if those involved were actors or crew.
Michael Douglas (actor)
….The Hollywood star said he “felt the need to get ahead” of the situation and to share his “concerns” before a story was published.
He said a former employee was accusing him of performing a sex act in front of her more than 30 years ago.
Douglas told Deadline: “This is a complete lie, fabrication, no truth to it whatsoever.”
He said his lawyer contacted him in December, telling him a media outlet was planning to run a story about the woman’s claims.
Richard Dreyfuss (actor)
November 10, 2017
….Jessica Teich said the “Jaws” actor had invited her to his trailer in 1987 when they were both working on a film and greeted her with his erect penis exposed.
“The idea was that I was going to give him [oral sex]. I didn’t, and I left,” Teich told Vulture.
For the next several years, she said, the married Dreyfuss subjected her to constant sexual harassment.
“He created a very hostile work environment, where I felt sexualized, objectified, and unsafe,” she told Vulture.
Teich said she decided to speak up after reading Dreyfuss’ supportive tweet to his son, who says he was abused by actor Kevin Spacey as a teen.
Dreyfuss, 70, said he didn’t recall “exposing” himself to Teich and denied that allegation.
But he had pursued Teich for several years in what he thought was an acceptable way, he said.
“I did flirt with her, and I remember trying to kiss Jessica as part of what I thought was a consensual seduction ritual that went on and on for many years,” Dreyfuss said.
He described himself as “horrified and bewildered” to discover the flirtation wasn’t welcome by Teich.
Actor Richard Dreyfuss denied exposing his genitals to L.A.-based writer Jessica Teich while the two were working together on a 1987 TV special.
Teich, whom Dreyfuss hired to write the script for the special Funny, You Don’t Look 200: A Constitutional Vaudeville, said the actor invited her to his trailer where he allegedly exposed his penis.
…In response to Teich’s allegations, Dreyfuss “emphatically” denied assaulting his former co-worker and said he never exposed himself to her.
…Teich, however, was floored by Dreyfuss’ denial.
“I respect that he’s trying to grapple with it, and I regret that he’s not being totally honest. Sadly, what I regret even more is I’ll never forget the sight of his penis because I was so surprised to see it there,” she told Vulture. “The fact that he can’t quite acknowledge all of it is understandable. But he certainly acknowledges that something happened, and he certainly acknowledges that it might have been inappropriate now that he looks back on it.”
Corey Feldman (movie actor)
Corey Feldman “vehemently denies” allegations that he groped a woman in early 2017.
A rep for Feldman told Fox News on Wednesday via email that Corey “vehemently denies these egregious accusations. It goes against everything he believes in and is fighting for — victim protection and stopping inappropriate behavior toward both children and adults.”
TMZ reported that an unidentified woman filed a police report on Monday with the Los Angeles Police Department.
“We can confirm that a crime report was taken by LAPD on 1/8/18 listing Corey Feldman as a suspect in a sexual battery report,” the LAPD told Fox News via email.
Feldman has been on a crusade to out Hollywood predators within the last year.
James Franco (actor)
- Five women are accusing James Franco of sexual misconduct in the Los Angeles Times, including four women who took acting classes with the Oscar nominee
- Sarah Tither-Kaplan claims a topless video of her made for Franco’s class at Studio 4 was uploaded without her prior knowledge or consent
- She is also claiming that Franco removed the plastic genital guards that several actresses were wearing for a nude orgy scene in his film The Long Home
- Violet Paley, 23, claims she had a romantic relationship with Franco in 2016, during which time the actor forced her to perform oral sex on him in his car
- Hilary Dusome and Natalie Chmiel said Franco stormed off the set of a video he was shooting at a strip club when they would not remove their tops
- Franco denied all these claims through his lawyer, and on Monday called the claims ‘not accurate’
Morgan Freeman (actor)
Eight women have accused Morgan Freeman of harassment and inappropriate behavior, according to a report by CNN.
In total, 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman, eight who claim to be victims of either sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior, and eight who said they witnessed Freeman’s alleged misconduct.
A young production assistant who worked on “Going in Style” — the 2017 comedy starring Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin — alleges Freeman subjected her to unwanted touching.
She also claims that Freeman would comment on her figure and clothing on a regular basis, and that he would rest his hand on her lower back or rub her lower back. In one instance, she said Freeman “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” At one point, she recalled, “Alan made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say.”
…In total, 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman, eight who claim to be victims of either sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior, and eight who said they witnessed Freeman’s alleged misconduct.
The “Shawshank Redemption” star was caught on tape making a tone-deaf pass at “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Ashley Crossan as she tried to do her job in 2016, according to a clip released by ET.
“Are you married?” the 80-year-old actor asked Crossan while promoting his film “London Has Fallen.”
“No,” Crossan replied.
“Fool around with older guys? I’m just asking,” he shot back.
After the interview, Crossan shook Freeman’s hand and said, ”Pleasure to meet you.”
“Mine,” Freeman said. “Look at yourself.”
The footage was released in the wake of a CNN exposé published Thursday in which women came forward to accuse the Oscar winner of serial sexual harassment.
One of them was “ET” special correspondent Janet Mock, who sat down with the star in 2015.
During the interview, Freeman told Mock, “I don’t know how you all manage to do that all the time … You got a dress halfway between your knee and your hips, and you sit down right across from me and cross your legs.”
Mock, who is also a writer and transgender activist, was offended.
“This interaction is an exhibition of the casual nature at which men in positions of power believe that everything belongs to them, including women’s bodies as they’re merely just trying to do their job,” she told “ET.”
John Grissom (actor)
Nov 2, 2017
Corey Feldman has spoken out about the alleged Hollywood “pedophilia ring” that he has claimed exists for decades.
On Thursday’s Dr. Oz, Feldman singled out John Grissom, an actor who appeared in 1988’s License to Drive and 1989’s Dream a Little Dream with Feldman and fellow child actor Corey Haim, and accused the older man of sexually molesting him. (Dr. Oz stated that Feldman also disclosed other names to him off-air.)
With cameras rolling, Feldman called the LAPD to file a report against Grissom. He also said he felt that Grissom was “mocking him” by posting pictures on his MySpace and Facebook pages of himself posing with Feldman and Haim.
LAPD confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that they had been contacted by Feldman. “We have been made aware of the incident. However, no report has been taken,” an LAPD official told THR.
It was also revealed that Grissom has a criminal record that includes a 2001 arrest for child molestation charges. He was found guilty of the crime in 2003 and served time. He is also in violation of “Megan’s Law,” which requires sex offenders to register with the state.
David Guillod (movie producer)
“Ted” actress Jessica Barth went to the LAPD Thursday to revive accusations she first made in 2012 that her then-manager, David Guillod, drugged her at a dinner and sexually assaulted her.
Barth said Guillod, an executive producer on “Atomic Blonde,” threatened her with a lawsuit to keep her from pursuing the case in 2012, but that she wants to press charges now because another woman emailed her to say Guillod drugged and assaulted her, too.
Three women have accused Hollywood producer David Guillod of rape, alleging they were drugged and woke up “covered in blood,” TheWrap reports.
…Guillod, whose major work includes films such as Atomic Blonde and Ted, stepped down as the co-CEO of the Primary Wave entertainment company last week, after being accused of sexually assaulting actress Jessica Barth in 2012.
Now three more women have come forward to accuse him of rape, including an assistant who claims Guillod picked up during a company retreat and raped her. Two other women claim they were drugged and woke up covered in blood.
One of the women said she had spoken to the Los Angeles Police Department about the case, with authorities confirming there is an open investigation into the claims.
January 5, 2018
A civil lawsuit was previously filed against the Oscar-winning filmmaker, prompting three more women to come forward.
A civil lawsuit charging Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis with raping a publicist has prompted three additional women to come forward with their own sexual misconduct accusations.
One of the new accusers says Haggis forced her to perform oral sex, then raped her.
And another of the new women speaking out told The Associated Press that before she managed to run away, Haggis told her, “I need to be inside you.”
Haggis’ lawyer denied the latest accusations, saying, “He didn’t rape anybody.” He had previously denied the lawsuit allegations in a countersuit, which is pending.
Haggis won Academy Awards for the film Crash.
Dustin Hoffman (movie actor)
She claims she asked for his food order and he replied “I’ll have a hard-boiled egg … and a soft-boiled clitoris”
But, Riss Gatsiounis said, the two meetings that took place at the Rockefeller Center office of Hoffman’s Punch Productions led to confusion and self-doubt after Hoffman allegedly propositioned her and attempted to persuade her to leave the office and accompany him to a store in a nearby hotel. Riss Gatsiounis was in her 20s; Hoffman was 53.
Cori Thomas was in high school when she says Dustin Hoffman exposed himself to her in a hotel room. Melissa Kester was a recent college graduate when Hoffman allegedly sexually assaulted her while recording audio for the film “Ishtar.” A third woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said that Hoffman assaulted her in the back of a station wagon and manipulated her into a subsequent sexual encounter that left her traumatized.
Speaking to Variety, the women described predatory incidents involving Hoffman that fit into a pattern of alleged behavior that has emerged in the wake of previous sexual-misconduct claims against the now 80-year-old actor.
Representatives for Hoffman did not make him available to provide comment for this story.
Joel Kramer (stunt coordinator)
Eliza Dushku has accused a well-known and prolific Hollywood stunt coordinator of sexually assaulting her during the filming of True Lies, when the Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse actress was only 12 years old.
Dushku posted a lengthy essay on Facebook last night, opening up about an incident from 25 years ago in which she says Joel Kramer—whose recent credits include high-profile projects like Blade Runner 2049, Star Trek: Discovery, and Westworld— first earned her and her family’s trust during her time on the Arnold Schwarzenegger action vehicle, and then abused it by luring her to a hotel room in the guise of letting her swim at the facility’s pool.
I remember vividly how he methodically drew the shades and turned down the lights; how he cranked up the air-conditioning to what felt like freezing levels, where exactly he placed me on one of the two hotel room beds, what movie he put on the television (Coneheads); how he disappeared in the bathroom and emerged, naked, bearing nothing but a small hand towel held flimsy at his mid-section.
I remember what I was wearing (my favorite white denim shorts, thankfully, secured enough for me to keep on).
I remember how he laid me down on the bed, wrapped me with his gigantic writhing body, and rubbed all over me. He spoke these words:
“You’re not going to sleep on me now sweetie, stop pretending you’re sleeping,” as he rubbed harder and faster against my catatonic body. When he was “finished,” he suggested, “I think we should be careful…,” [about telling anyone] he meant. I was 12, he was 36.
Dushku goes on to outline how Kramer allegedly used his position as the film’s stunt coordinator—and, thus, the man responsible for her safety on the set of James Cameron’s stunt-heavy action thriller—to threaten and silence the 12-year-old child he had loudly, publicly nicknamed “Jailbait” in front of his co-workers.
Specifically, she recalls how, on the same day a “tough adult female friend” confronted Kramer about his actions against Dushku, a stunt on the film’s set went “wrong,” putting the child actress in the hospital with broken ribs. “On a daily basis he rigged wires and harnesses on my 12-year-old body,” Dushku writes. “My life was literally in his hands: he hung me in the open air, from a tower crane, atop an office tower, 25+ stories high. Whereas he was supposed to be my protector, he was my abuser.”
Andrew Kreisberg (producer)
Warner Bros. has opened an investigation into Andrew Kreisberg, the executive producer of some of the studio’s biggest DC Comics series after fifteen women and four men accused him of sexual misconduct.
“We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation,” Warners said in a statement late Friday. “We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”
Kreisberg’s work includes series including Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Jeremy Piven (movie and television actor)
An actress who appeared on “Entourage” has accused Jeremy Piven of sexual assault.
Ariane Bellamar tweeted to Piven on Monday, “‘Member when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? ‘Member grabbing my boobies on the [couch] without asking??”
She also tweeted, “‘Member when I tried to leave; you grabbed me by the ass, looked at yourself in the mirror, & said what a ‘beautiful couple’ we made?”
The actress later clarified that Piven cornered her and “forcefully fondled my breasts & bum” on two occasions.
“Once at the [Playboy] mansion & once on [the ‘Entourage’] set.”
Two more Jeremy Piven accusers speak out: Advertising executive says actor ‘ejaculated onto her turtleneck’ after forcing himself on her and porn star tells how he pulled out his penis at a party and said ‘all this can be yours’
Two more women have accused Jeremy Piven of sexual assault and harassment, bringing the total number of women to have aired allegations against him to four.
Washington-based advertising executive Tiffany Bacon Scourby, 39, and Hawaii-based porn star Isis Taylor both say Piven, 52, attacked or harassed them.
Scourby, now a married mother-of-two, claims the pair met in 2003 while she was on a business trip in New York City.
At the time, Piven had appeared in a number of films including Black Hawk Down and Runaway Jury.
Scourby says that the pair met at a nightclub where he invited her to accompany him to film an interview on Late Night with Conan O’Brien the following day.
She went to his hotel the next day where they planned to meet up with his publicist, she said.
In an interview with People on Thursday, Scourby told how once in his hotel room, Piven, now 52, forced himself on her then exposed his genitals and began rubbing himself on her body.
‘He jumped on top of me. I tried to push him off and he forced me to the ground,’ she said.
For 15 minutes, Piven rubbed his bare genitals on her fully clothed body then ‘ejaculated’ on to her white turtleneck, she claimed.

Nov 24, 2017
Another woman has come forward accusing actor Jeremy Piven of sexual misconduct on the set of HBO’s “Entourage.”
Anastasia Taneie, 30, told BuzzFeed News that when she was working as an extra on “Entourage” in April 2009, Piven, one of the show’s stars, confronted her in a dark hallway and groped her breast and genitals as he forcefully pushed her against a wall.
Taneie said Piven only stopped groping her when an assistant director walked by, and that Piven then ordered her to be removed from the set, claiming she had initiated inappropriate contact.
Taneie did not file a formal complaint at the time, she told the outlet, because “I was scared at the time nobody was going to believe me. I didn’t want to make a scene. I just wanted to go home.”
A fellow extra that day, Araceli Giacoman, told BuzzFeed that she and Taneie were among a group whom Piven had approached, and that Piven had spoken quietly to Taneie and took her with him. Giacoman said Taneie returned looking “distraught,” “scared,” and “shaken.”
Another fellow extra, Andy Lobo, told the outlet Taneie was crying after the alleged incident, and that she told him Piven had forced himself on her.
…Piven also contacted BuzzFeed to say that a previous accuser, documentary filmmaker Amy Rachelle Meador, 43, was going to retract claims she made last month to Hollywood Life, about Piven attempting to rape her at her home. Meador instead told BuzzFeed she stood by her story.
Three other women have made sexual misconduct allegations against Piven since last month, including TV personality and actress Ariane Bellamar, “Longmire” star Cassidy Freeman, and advertising executive Tiffany Bacon Scourby.
Jan 27, 2018
Following multiple allegations that Jeremy Piven has a long history of sexually inappropriate behavior, three more women have come forward claiming they, too, were on the receiving end of various instances of sexual misconduct by the actor.
Speaking with BuzzFeed News, the women recounted their interactions with Piven, which spanned over the course of a decade.
Susan McCain Olson, a former background actor who met Piven on the set of Lucas in 1985, says Piven followed her into a trailer during a day of filming and forcibly pinned her down on a couch; he then climbed on top of her and began kissing her. “At one point I kind of was like, ‘This is it, this is where I’m going to get raped,’” she said. “I kept trying to push him away. I was like, ‘No, get off me.’”
McCain Olson was eventually able to push him off the couch and run out of the trailer, and chose not to tell anyone at the time because she was “just an extra” who didn’t want to lose her job.
Years later, another woman — who chose to remain anonymous to BuzzFeed — met Piven while he was shooting a film in Montreal in the early ’90s. After chatting at a hair salon, she agreed to give Piven a tour of the city, and when she arrived at his hotel to meet him, the front desk instructed her to go to his room.
When she stepped inside, Piven allegedly pinned her against a wall and tried to kiss her. “I didn’t want to stick around to find out what else was going to happen,” she said, adding she was able to leave the room almost immediately. “[T]his was a little more violent than the other things that have happened to me. To have somebody force themselves on you like that, it made me feel very uncomfortable and grossed out.”
Shortly thereafter, another woman, Diane Gonzalez, claims she was on the receiving end of a distressing sexual encounter with Piven.
Gonzalez says the duo met when she was doing extra work for Ellen in 1996, and after sharing dinner and drinks with Piven and other crew members, they headed back to Piven’s home for what began as consensual sex.
However, she soon became upset when Piven “grew more forceful” in the bedroom, exceeding her level of comfort. “I think the threat was just how aggressive and how strong he became as he was holding me down. I just didn’t want it to get any worse,” Gonzalez said. “I’m just thankful I kind of got out there when I did.”
When she was able to remove herself from Piven’s grasp and leave, she claims he responded by being “very condescending, very belittling” with her.
Brett Ratner (movie producer)
November 1, 2017
Brett Ratner, 48, is being accused of sexual assault and/or harassment by six women in a Los Angeles Times exposè
Natasha Henstridge claims that Ratner blocked her from leaving a friend’s house in the early nineties and then forced the then-19-year-old to perform oral sex
Olivia Munn claims that in 2004 a pantless Ratner surprised her in his trailer and began masturbating in front of her to the point of ejaculation
Katherine Towne claims Ratner followed her into his bathroom after she rejected his advances at a 2005 party and told her he liked women ‘chubby sometimes’
Jamie Ray Newman claims that in 2005 Ratner ‘graphically described’ how he wanted to perform oral sex on her and show her nude photos of his girlfriend
Warner Bros. has severed ties with Brett Ratner in the wake of damning sexual harassment allegations in the L.A. Times, according to a studio source.
Top brass at the studio spent the day reviewing theallegations that Ratner had masturbated in front of actresses and forced one actress to perform oral sex on him. Ratner’s attorney has adamantly denied the charges on his behalf.
Steven Seagal (movie actor)
Actress Julianna Margulies has revealed both Steven Seagal and Harvey Weinstein tried to lure her to their hotel rooms.
“When I was 23, a casting director, a woman, said, ‘Steven Seagal wants to go over the scene with you in his hotel room at 10 o’clock at night.’ I got to the hotel at 10:40, and she wasn’t there. And he was. Alone. And he made sure that I saw his gun, which I had never seen a gun in real life. And I got out of there unscathed … I never was raped. And I never was harmed. And I don’t know how I got out of that hotel room … I sorta screamed my way out,” she told Jenny Hutt’s SiriusXM show “Just Jenny.”
Actress Portia de Rossi alleged on Wednesday that action star Steven Seagal ‘unzipped his pants’ in front of her during an audition for one of his films.
‘My final audition for a Steven Segal movie took place in his office,’ de Rossi tweeted on Wednesday.
‘He told me how important it was to have chemistry off-screen as he sat me down and unzipped his leather pants.
‘I ran out and called my agent. Unfazed, she replied, “Well, I didn’t know if he was your type”.’
A Hollywood exec has told how she was sexually harassed by Steven Seagal as a budding actress on the set of his 1991 movie “Out for Justice.”
The exec, who asked not to be named for fear of repercussions, said Seagal lured her to his trailer for a “costume change,” then propositioned her by phone, crudely demanding, “You are not comfortable sitting on my face for an hour?”
January 2018 Seagal updates
Multiple women, including Jenny McCarthy, have come forward and alleged they were sexually harassed or assaulted by the ‘Under Siege’ actor.
Regina Simons, who was then an 18-year-old extra, claimed that Seagal invited her to what he said was a wrap party for the film, but when she arrived, she said she was the only other person there.
HOLLYWOOD action movie star Steven Seagal has now been accused of rape and sexual assault just weeks after being accused of being a sex pest.
Regina Simons was an 18-year-old extra on the set of Seagal’s 1994 film “Deadly Ground” when she alleges that he raped her in his home.
Charlie Sheen (tv and movie actor)
November 8, 2017
New allegations have emerged about a 13-year-old Corey Haim being raped by Charlie Sheen while filming the 1986 movie ‘Lucas’
Former actor Dominick Brascia alleges that Haim told him about his incident with Sheen and that a 19-year-old Sheen rejected him after their encounter
Corey Feldman, Haim’s closest friend, wrote in his memoir about Haim being sodomized on the set of ‘Lucas’ but never named Sheen
Additionally it is alleged Sheen kissed an underage woman, who was 17 at the time, on the set of ‘Lucas’ and propositioned her for sex as well
A defiant looking Sheen emerged from his parents home Wednesday smoking a cigarette after the bombshell allegations were made public
Wednesday afternoon Sheen, who is now living with HIV, released a statement saying he ‘categorically denies these allegations’
Haim battled drug addiction for years and died in 2010 at 38-years-old
Russell Simmons (music producer)
Another five women described episodes of sexual misconduct with the Def Jam co-founder as recently as 2016.
Russell Simmons has been accused of rape by four women in incidents spanning from 1983 to 1996 in New York Times and Los Angeles Times reports both published Wednesday (Dec. 13).
As well, another five women described episodes of sexual misconduct with the Def Jam co-founder as recently as 2016. Simmons issued statements to both newspapers denying the women’s accounts.
The New York Police Department is “reviewing information” on Russell Simmons after multiple women came forward accusing the Def Jam and Phat Farm of rape and sexual assault.
Reports in the Los Angeles Times and CBS News Thursday said that an investigation has begun, but reached for comment by Variety, NYPD Sgt. Brendan Ryan said: “The NYPD has received information regarding allegations involving Russell Simmons in the NYC area and our detectives are in the process of reviewing that information.”
Sheri Hines, a former member of the group Mercedes Ladies who says Simmons raped her in in 1983, told the Times she had been contacted by the NYPD on Thursday, although she did not respond to further requests for comment.
After the accusations were made public Wednesday — which Simmons denied in a long statement to The New York Times — he deleted his Twitter account and posted a statement on Instagram Thursday.
… Claussen said late in November that Simmons had apologized to her privately for assaulting her in 1991, when she was 17. Simmons has denied her allegation.
In an article published Wednesday, three women told the New York Times that they were raped by Simmons in incidents dating back to 1988. The LA Times has also reported accounts from five new women dating back to the 1980s.
Nov 20, 2017
Actor Terry Crews claimed Sunday that music mogul Russell Simmons asked him to give a “pass” to the powerful Hollywood talent agent the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine star” accused of groping him.
Crews, who claimed that agent Adam Venit, head of WME’s Motion Picture Group, groped him during an event in Hollywood last year, tweeted a photo of an email conversation which purportedly shows Simmons asking the actor to give Venit a “pass.”
Bryan Singer (movie director)
Students at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts filed a petition to remove Bryan Singer’s name from the Division of Cinema and Media Studies.
The petition, filed on Change.org on Monday, reads in part, “It is completely unacceptable that this prestigious department within our school still carries the name of Bryan Singer, a man accused multiple times of sexual harassment, assault, and pedophilia.”
Kevin Spacey (movie actor)
October 30, 2017
….Yesterday, however, the 58-year-old was plunged into a sex scandal that is inviting comparisons with the uproar generated by the Harvey Weinstein allegations.
Fellow actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of sexually assaulting him when he was 14. Spacey apologised but said he cannot remember the alleged incident.
The Kevin Spacey Foundation has killed both its website and Twitter account following Washington Free Beacon inquiries into whether Spacey would continue his work with young actors. The inquiries were made after a string of sexual assault accusations that were sparked by a story of Spacey making sexual advances on a 14-year-old boy.
Nov 4, 2017
“[W]hat disgusts me about Kevin was how safe he did feel. He knew he could fondle me in a room with my father and that I wouldn’t say a word. And I didn’t,” the actor wrote in a column for Buzzfeed News.
Harry Dreyfuss, son of Richard Dreyfuss, has come forward to share his own experience with Kevin Spacey, who has been accused of harassment and assault by over 10 men.
…Dreyfuss revealed that he was inappropriately groped while his father was present in the room.
Dreyfuss claims the incident took place in 2008, when Spacey was directing Richard in the play Complicit at London’s Old Vic theater. He was 18 years old at the time.
“It happened one night when the three of us were alone in Kevin’s apartment rehearsing my father’s lines. My father didn’t see, and I didn’t tell him about the incident for many years,” Dreyfuss said. “Instead, I spent the next nine years telling people the story at parties for laughs.”
He added, “Kevin Spacey is a sexual predator. But I still never thought talking about it seriously was ever an option.”
Dreyfuss wrote that as a shy teenager, he admired Spacey and mistook some of his advances as friendly behavior. Dreyfuss became suspicious of Spacey only when he sat down next to him and placed his hand on his thigh as the three of them went over the script.
…”Over the course of about 20 seconds, centimeter by centimeter, Kevin crawled his hand from my thigh over toward my crotch. My mind went blank. Suddenly, he had completed his journey and now he had all of me in his hand,” he said, adding that he never once “gave him a signal that I would want to be with him in that way.”
Sylvester Stallone (movie actor, movie director)
(I have a running list of sexual assault allegations against Sylvester Stallone in this other post on this blog under the “New Allegations” section of the post)
Sylvester Stallone was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old fan girl while he was filming Over the Top in Las Vegas in 1986, according to a police report obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com
The actor, who was 40 years old at the time, met the teenager while he was filming at the former Las Vegas Hilton hotel and she was given keys to his room
Stallone allegedly had sex with the girl, telling her she was ‘very tight’, before asking the minor if she had ever had sex with two men at the same time
The girl claims Stallone’s bodyguard Michael ‘Mike’ De Luca, who was in the bathroom until Stallone brought him out, ‘forced’ her to give him oral sex
After performing oral sex on De Luca for some time, the teen claims he penetrated her while she was made to perform oral sex on Stallone
The teen told police she became ‘very uncomfortable’ when De Luca joined in on the sexual encounter but said she felt she had ‘no choice’ in the matter
Afterwards, the teen claims Stallone said she couldn’t tell anyone because both men were married and if she said anything, ‘they would have to beat her head in’
Police said she decided not to press charges against the men because she was scared and humiliated
If you have any information regarding Sylvester Stallone please contact alan.butterfield @dailymail.com
…Retired Las Vegas metro police department detective sergeant John Samolovitch, who was head of the sexual assault unit at the time, confirmed to DailyMail.com ‘the copy of the police report is in fact a true copy of the original report.’
Michelle Bega, spokeswoman for Stallone, told DailyMail.com: ‘This is a ridiculous, categorically false story. No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter.’
…At the time of the incident Stallone, now 71, was 40 years old. Bodyguard De Luca, who was shot and killed by California police during a traffic stop in 2013, was 27 years old at the time.
Police were alerted to the incident when a hotel employee called police to report that a friend of the victim said she needed advice on the matter.
When officials tracked down the teen, she relayed details of the alleged assault to them.
She said she was staying at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel with family friends for 10 days, from July 18 to July 28, during the time that Stallone happened to be filming at the hotel for the upcoming movie Over the Top.
The teen said she met actor David Mendenhall, who was playing Stallone’s son in the film, at the hotel’s arcade and he introduced her and her cousin to Stallone on Wednesday, July 23, 1986.
In the following days, the cast and crew of the movie continued filming at the hotel, and on Friday, the teen said she saw Stallone and got his autograph.
According to the police report, Stallone asked the girl how old she was and after learning she was 16 years old, he asked her ‘how she got such a build’.
One of the teen’s friends had received a kiss on the cheek from Stallone during the conversation, so the teen said she also asked for a peck on the cheek from Stallone.
…That night, the teen claims she went up to the 27th floor where she met Stallone and De Luca in the hallway and together, they all went into the hotel suite.
From there, the teen said she and Stallone went into the bedroom, got undressed and began having intercourse, while De Luca stayed in the bathroom.
The teen told police that they ‘really didn’t have sex’ because Stallone only inserted himself ‘a little ways’ into her and ‘only kept it in for a few seconds’.
Stallone remarked to the girl that she was ‘very tight’ before asking her if she ever had sex with two men at the same time, according to the report.
…Neither of the men climaxed but the teen said Stallone asked her if she ‘wanted to see come’ and then he ejaculated in front of her, the report said. Pictured: Stallone and De Luca
…Police noted that ‘during the interview [the teen] became emotionally upset numerous times, crying and sobbing.’
…The report continued: ‘She indicated that if the sexual encounter had only been with Stallone, she would not pursue this matter, but due to the fact that Mike, the bodyguard became involved in the sexual incident, she didn’t know what she wanted to do.’
…The bombshell police report was made a year before Stallone’s half-sister Toni-Ann Filiti, threatened him with a lawsuit in 1987, alleging that Stallone raped her and sexually assaulted her.
Although court documents show the actor ‘vigorously denied and continues to deny and dispute all claims of wrongdoing’, he agreed to give Filiti a lump sum of $2 million, as well as $16,666 a month for the rest of her life.
by Doug Poppa, August 2015
In my last article I briefly covered a multimillion-dollar settlement deal that was made in 1987 between Sylvester Stallone and his half-sister, Toni Ann Filiti. The payoff was hush money to silence Filiti’s claim that Stallone had sexually abused her for years.
…I have since obtained documents relating to the settlement agreement, the trust agreement and also a copy of the $2 million dollar check that was paid to Toni Ann Filiti (pictured in the top photo).
…“Starting in or about 1979, and continuing to on or about March, 1987, defendant [Sylvester Stallone] terrorized plaintiff [Stallone’s half sistesr Toni-Ann Fillti] through repeated forcible sexual assaults, which included molesting her, ripping her clothes off, forcing himself upon her, forcibly engaging in sexual acts against her will, including sexual intercourse and oral/genital sex, and otherwise restraining her from escaping from him through physical force and intimidation.
by Doug Poppa, August 2015
….But that is just what Sylvester Stallone allegedly did in 1987. He paid off his half-sister, Toni-Ann Filiti, to destroy recordings that could have pictured him as a sexual abuser. Stallone agreed to pay her off to make the lawsuit go away, and as part of the deal, Stallone got to see the tapes Filiti was using against him destroyed.
…In a separate case, an employee of Toni-Ann Filiti, Kenneth Chiaramonte, claimed in court documents in 2012 that Filiti had been sexually abused by a member of her own family.
Her son Edd told the media that his mother was made into a “black sheep” and said that she had told him of the abuse she suffered before she died. Edd has continually told the press that his mother was right all along and that Stallone had abused her when Stallone was younger and then paid her hush money to make the scandal go away.
…Stallone has had other problems during his career that he had to deal with.
In 2001, exotic dancer, Margie Carr filed a lawsuit claiming Stallone had sexually assaulted her in an office at the Santa Monica Bodybuilding Center in 2000, where they both worked out.
After ripping her clothes off the suit alleged, Stallone attempted to forcibly have sexual intercourse with her on a couch.
Stallone denied the allegations.
In 2007 Stallone plead guilty in Sydney, Australia to bringing vials of restricted muscle-building hormones into Australia.
Stallone was accused of bringing banned substances into Australia after a customs search of his luggage during a Feb. 16, 2007 visit to Sydney revealed 48 vials of the human growth hormone, Jinthropin.
The prosecutor, David Agius told the court that Stallone had thrown four vials of the male hormone, Testosterone, from his Sydney hotel room when customs officials arrived to search it.
In 2008 Stallone’s’ ex-fiancée, and Cosby accuser, former supermodel, Janice Dickinson, told the press that Stallone was taken into custody in Japan after being caught with the same muscle-building drug he was convicted for possession of in Australia the previous year.
Dickenson told a U.S TV show that Stallone had taken the drugs to boost his body during their relationship in the early 1990’s, and claimed that Stallone once injected her in the arm when she was asleep. Stallone denied the allegations at the time.
Dickenson stated, “If he doesn’t shut his big mouth, I’m going to really tell everybody what he did to me. If he doesn’t retract calling me a liar, I’m ready to really talk- and he doesn’t want that, so he’d better make nice…”
…In 1987 Stallone’s movie, Over the Top, was released. Portions of the movie were shot at what was then, The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.
While filming there Stallone had a room at the Las Vegas Hilton and was allegedly involved in an incident with a 15-year-old girl inside his room.
According to a former Las Vegas Police detective who was involved with the investigation, one of Stallone’s bodyguards took the 15-year-old girl, a fan, to Stallone’s room to meet Stallone.
According to the 15-year-old girl, who was later interviewed by a female detective from the Sexual Assault Unit, Stallone masturbated in front of her, onto the drapes in the room, and allegedly told the girl, “This is how a real man comes.”
…I do know the incident happened because one of the retired detectives who was involved in the case told me so. And he first told me this almost twenty years ago, way before the other allegations surfaced in 2013.
What I do find interesting is that this incident, which was never made public to my knowledge, was very close to the time period that Stallone’s half-sister made her allegations.
As a former police officer I do know one thing: Anyone who masturbates in front of a 15 year old girl is a sick bastard. And chances are that would not be the first time they engaged in improper sexual conduct.
“This is a ridiculous, categorically false story,” the star’s spokeswoman, Michelle Bega, told PEOPLE in a statement. “No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter.”
…After the alleged incident, the teenager reportedly told police Stallone threatened her not to tell anyone because both men were married, saying that “they would have to beat her head in” before laughing with De Luca.

On Thursday [Nov 16, 2017], Sylvester Stallone became the latest powerful male celebrity to publicly defend himself against sexual assault allegations.
But unlike most of the other men we’ve been reading about, Stallone, now 71, has experience denying women’s claims of abuse. In fact, in two cases, including one involving his late half-sister, Stallone’s people have portrayed his accusers as fabricating the allegations in order to get fame or money.
Stallone’s history of assault allegations came to light Thursday after the Daily Mail obtained a police report that accuses the “Rocky” star of forcing a 16-year-old girl into a threesome with him and his bodyguard at a Las Vegas hotel in 1986.
…These allegations actually are nothing new. They were the subject of news stories last year after Doug Poppa, an ex-police officer and reporter for the Baltimore Post-Examiner, obtained the 31-year-old police report and wrote about the incident.
…But this isn’t the first time Stallone has been accused of sexual assault. In 2001, an exotic dancer named Margie Carr woman filed a lawsuit against the actor, alleging he “forcibly pinned” her against a wall and tore off her clothes at a Santa Monica fitness center where they both worked out.
…Then there were the allegations involving Stallone’s late half-sister Toni-Ann Filiti, which also revealed an ugly drama at the heart of Stallone’s extended family.
The drama involves Filiti’s allegations that Stallone abused her for years, which were met with counter-charges that she was a drug addict looking to blackmail her famous and wealthy older half-brother.
George Takei (tv and movie actor)
The ‘Star Trek’ icon denies a claim by Scott R. Brunton, who says he was groped at the actor’s Los Angeles condo.
A former model and actor is accusing Star Trek icon George Takei of sexual assault in 1981. The accuser, Scott R. Brunton, who was 23 at the time of the alleged incident, claims that Takei took advantage of him when he was most vulnerable.
…Brunton says he was living in Hollywood in 1981, working as a waiter and beginning a career as a commercial actor and model when he met a 43- or 44-year-old Takei one evening at Greg’s Blue Dot bar.
…The two men went back to the actor’s condo for a drink the same night. “We have the drink and he asks if I would like another,” Brunton recalls.
“And I said sure. So, I have the second one, and then all of a sudden, I begin feeling very disoriented and dizzy, and I thought I was going to pass out. I said I need to sit down and he said sit over here and he had the giant yellow beanbag chair. So I sat down in that and leaned my head back and I must have passed out.”
“The next thing I remember I was coming to and he had my pants down around my ankles and he was groping my crotch and trying to get my underwear off and feeling me up at the same time, trying to get his hands down my underwear,” Brunton says.
“I came to and said, ‘What are you doing?!’ I said, ‘I don’t want to do this.’ He goes, ‘You need to relax. I am just trying to make you comfortable. Get comfortable.’
And I said, ‘No. I don’t want to do this.’ And I pushed him off and he said, ‘OK, fine.’ And I said I am going to go and he said, ‘If you feel you must. You’re in no condition to drive.’
Jeffery Tambor (actor)
Nov 8, 2017
In its early stages, the probe primarily stems from allegations by Tambor’s former assistant Van Barnes of implied inappropriate behavior on the part of the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Awards winner.
The investigation into the claims by the transgender Barnes, which she made online in a private Facebook post, began earlier this week, we hear. In the post, she claims that her former boss, whom she does not identify by name, had repeatedly propositioned her, made lewd comments, groped her and threatened to sue her if she spoke up.
Ben Vereen (actor)
January 5, 2018
“Now I understand it was a power play,” said one actress of the Tony winner, who did not deny the accusations from multiple women involved in a Florida production of ‘Hair’ in 2015.
Multiple women have accused Broadway actor Ben Vereen of sexual harassment and assault.
While directing a community theater production of Hair in Florida in 2015, the Tony winner allegedly forced unwanted kisses and other physical contact, and made sexual propositions toward various young women in the cast, according to the New York Daily News.
Vereen did so while repeatedly citing the musical’s content, as Hair portrays the hippie culture and sexual revolution of the 1960s and includes a nude scene.
He also did so under the guise that Vereen, who acting in the musical’s original Broadway production from 1968 to 1972, would bring the show on tour and catapult the volunteer cast to new levels in their career.
During rehearsals, Vereen zoomed in on the cast’s female actors, “groping and kissing on the women, ogling their bodies in a really obvious way. The women who demurred would inevitably be humiliated in the circle later,” noted male cast member Zach Wasson. He also conducted exercises that required the women to sit in the middle of a circle to be asked invasive personal questions, allegedly to reach creative breakthroughs.
Two women — Kaitlyn Terpstra, then 22 years old, and Kim, then 23 — shared separate but similar accounts of being asked to join Vereen at his Florida rental home for “private rehearsals.” During the visits, Vereen, then about to turn 69 years old, pressed his erect penis into their legs without warning, and convinced them to get into his backyard hot tub while naked.
“He gave this whole speech about how nudity was not inherently sexual. ‘That’s not what it’s about.’ He made me feel that if I wasn’t mature enough to understand that, I wasn’t mature enough to be in Hair,” said Terpstra. Kim added, “He basically told both of us, ‘Get over yourself. Nudity doesn’t have to be sexual.’ If we asked questions or hesitated, we were the ones making it weird.”
In the hot tub, Vereen would repeat his rehearsal technique. “He was acting as my mentor, asking me about my parents, then that same night, he put me on his lap while I was crying, and I felt his erection,” Terpstra recalled. “He asked me, ‘Feel that?’ It was terrifying. I said, ‘Feel what?’ I wanted to act like I didn’t. I pushed myself off with a laugh. Then later, he asked, ‘Do you think I want to fuck you?’ I said ‘Yes,’ and he got angry. He said, ‘Well, I don’t, and that’s unfortunate.’ He made me feel like I had my mind in the gutter.”
Kim said that when she was in the hot tub, Vereen asked her to perform oral sex on him. She passively obliged with confusion. “I just felt powerless because I thought I really needed his help and guidance. And when he said nudity doesn’t have to be sexual, I was like, ‘OK, maybe this isn’t even sexual,’” she explained. “Now I understand it was a power play. It was so calculated. It was like we were putty in his hands.”
Matthew Weiner (tv show creator)
A former staff writer on the hit show Mad Men accused the show’s creator, Matthew Weiner, of sexual harassment in a story published Thursday by theInformation.
The incident took place nearly a decade ago, when then 27-year-old Kater Gordon was working as a writers assistant on the hit AMC show. Gordon had gotten her start as Weiner’s personal assistant and rose through the ranks first as a writers assistant and later as a staff writer for the show.
Ed Westwick (actor)
Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has denied knowing actress Kristina Cohen after she publicly accused him of raping her three years ago.
The 27-year-old Ladies Like Us actress took to Facebook on Monday night alleging that Westwick forcibly held her down and raped her at his Hollywood Hills home in February 2014.
Westwick hit back Tuesday morning strenuously denying the rape allegations.
‘I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape,’ the British actor tweeted.
Cohen claimed she went to the 30-year-old actor’s home for dinner with a producer – who she had briefly dated in 2013 – when Westwick allegedly suggested a threesome. She said she ended up taking a nap in his guest bedroom.
‘I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f*** me,’ she wrote.
‘I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.’
The actress said she had tried to convince Harling, who was friends with Westwick, to leave prior to the alleged assault but he had asked her to stay a while longer.
‘I wanted to leave when Ed suggested ‘we should all f***’. But the producer didn’t want to make Ed feel awkward by leaving,’ she said.
