It is sad and rather amazing to see how naive, in denial, or politically correct so many liberal celebrities are concerning Islamic terrorism.
This story comes just after the terror attack by Muslims of a pop concert by singer Ariana Grande in Manchester, Great Britain:
He [Higbie] is now playing defense, but stands by his comments.
Higbie told The Daily Caller News Foundation he didn’t go too far in the interview:
“No. I’m doubling down.”
“The problem is that Katy Perry lives in a bubble,” Higbie said.
“She influences millions of young children who believe everything that comes out of her mouth. It’s irresponsible of her to say something like this, when she has no understanding of the situation. Open borders would be a disaster.”
Higbie believes that a spell has been cast on the American public by the entertainment industry. He thinks this is driving people to Hollywood for answers instead of reporters or media personalities.
“People are captivated by pop culture,” Higbie said.
“It’s remarkable that people like Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian have multiple times the amount of followers as the Speaker of the House. Entertainers are not meant to inform. That isn’t their job.”

Former Navy Seal Carl Higbie dared pop singer Katy Perry to hold a concert in Syria, if she believes Americans can just “hug it out” with Muslim terrorists.
Appearing on Fox News, Higbie responded to Perry’s public claim that “open borders” and “love” will protect Americans from terrorism. Celebrities who excuse terrorists intentionally misunderstand the situation he said:
“We don’t have people who respect the culture of the United States of America. You have people like Katy Perry, for instance. I mean, this woman has said ‘oh we need to give them hugs, hug it out. Go to hell Katy Perry.
“Hold one of your concerts in Syria and see how it goes.”
“These people fundamentally don’t understand what’s going on here.
“They don’t understand any of this – and they don’t want to understand, too. And that’s why I’m so strong against these celebrities who speak out, saying ‘Oh, we can fight this through love, it’s not really violent, they don’t really mean it.’”
Former Navy SEAL Carl Higbie said Thursday that Katy Perry can to “go to hell” after comments she made about the Manchester bombing went viral.
….Higbie was on Fox News discussing the idea of requiring “culture” classes for immigrants to order to facilitate assimilation efforts. He told “America’s Newsroom” host Shannon Bream that many celebrities, who have been lifelong citizens of the U.S., including the likes of Perry, don’t respect the “culture of the United States of America.”
“If you come to America, you’re American and nothing else,” Higbie said. “ we don’t have people who respect the culture of the United States of America.”
“You have people like Katy Perry … this woman has said, ‘Oh we need to give them hugs, hug it out,’” Higbie said, referring to radical Islamic terrorists.
Higbie looked directly at the camera and pointedly said, “Go to hell, Katy Perry.”
“Hold one of your concerts in Syria and see how that goes,” he said.
Bream said that she felt Perry meant well with her comments, and though Higbie admitted that Perry’s remarks didn’t seem to be out of malice, he insisted that many celebrities don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to the world arena.
“They don’t understand any of this, and they don’t want to understand, too,” Higbie said. “And that’s why I’m so strong against these celebrities who want to speak out.
“We’re putting the political correctness of the Islamic culture over the lives of our citizens,” he said.
